Over the past 12 months, Sensory Super Heroes has proudly sent 379 Crash Bags to children, families, schools and occupational therapists across Australia.
When we first looked at that number, we smiled.
Then we stopped and asked ourselves…
What does 379 really mean?
Because every one of those 379 Crash Bags represents something much bigger than a sale.
It represents trust.
Someone choosing something we’ve made because they are looking for a way to support a child.
Every Crash Bag represents a child.
A child who may struggle to regulate their nervous system.
A child who sometimes feels overwhelmed by a world that can be too loud, too bright, too busy or simply too much.
A child whose body is asking for help.
For that child, a Crash Bag isn’t just somewhere to jump.
It’s somewhere to land.
Somewhere to breathe.
Somewhere to reset.
Somewhere they can get the movement and sensory input their body may be seeking.
Every Crash Bag represents a family.
Families don’t reach out because they’re looking for another toy.
They contact us because they’re searching for answers.
They may have already tried so many things. They’re worried. They’re tired.
For some families, a Crash Bag becomes part of those everyday moments when their child needs movement, heavy work or simply somewhere to go when everything feels like too much.
Our Crash Bags are also used and recommended by occupational therapists across Australia as part of sensory support for children.
Knowing families trust something we have created enough to bring it into their homes is something we never take for granted.

This past year, 65 schools welcomed Sensory Super Heroes Crash Bags into their learning environments.
Think about that for a moment.

Every Crash Bag represents a therapist.
Occupational therapists don’t choose equipment just because it looks good.
They choose tools they believe will support the children they work with.
Knowing our Crash Bags are being used by therapists to support children through movement, heavy work and sensory regulation is something we are incredibly proud of.
We’re honoured every time something we have made becomes part of a child’s therapy journey.
Handmade with purpose.
We could manufacture overseas.
But that has never been our vision.
Every Crash Bag is assembled with care in our own workshop, where we can keep a close eye on the quality of what we make.
Even the way we make and pack them has a story.
Our packing machines were designed and built with help from our local community using recycled steel and reclaimed timber.
We repurpose high-quality foam offcuts from Australian mattress manufacturers, giving valuable materials a second life instead of sending them to waste.
And the recycled cartons we use?
Even our packing tape is biodegradable.
They might seem like small details.
But to us, every decision matters.
Built from lived experience.
Sensory Super Heroes wasn’t created in a boardroom.
It was created through lived experience.
We’ve lived the uncertainty.
We’ve searched for solutions.
Those experiences continue to guide every product we create.
This Is Why 379 Matters.
People sometimes ask us how many Crash Bags we’ve sold.
And yes, 379 Crash Bags in 12 months is something we’re incredibly proud of.
Because 379 means that 379 times, a parent, school, therapist or organisation trusted something we made to help support a child.
But it also makes us wonder…
">How many children have found somewhere to land when everything felt too much?
How many families have breathed a sigh of relief?
How many classrooms have found another way to support regulation and learning?
How many therapists have had another practical tool available when a child needed it?
Those are the numbers we may never be able to count.
And perhaps they’re the ones that matter most.
Sometimes They Just Need Somewhere to Crash
Movement doesn’t always look calm.
Sometimes children seek jumping, rolling, pushing, squeezing, climbing or crashing.
Sometimes their body simply seems to be asking for more movement or pressure.
