WEIGHTED SENSORY LAP BLANKET

Our Weighted Sensory Lap Blankets are designed for children and teenagers who enjoy heavy work, firm hugs or weighted input, or who find it difficult to sit still for periods of time.

The blanket can be incorporated into everyday routines in lots of different ways.

AT SCHOOL: Use across the lap or shoulders during seated activities, or carry it between tasks as part of heavy-work activities.

AT APPOINTMENTS: The familiar plush texture and weighted input can become part of a child’s sensory toolkit during therapy or other appointments.

TRAVEL, OUTINGS OR HOME: Use during homework, car rides, quiet time or other moments where weighted input is something the child enjoys. Sensory Super Heroes

VIBRATION CUSHION WITH PLUSH COVER

Our Vibration Cushion provides gentle vibration when it is sat on, hugged, squeezed or leaned against.

It can be used during seated activities such as school work, mat time, meal times or car rides, or simply hugged and squeezed by children who enjoy vibration as a form of sensory input.

The super-snuggly Plush Cover adds another tactile element, with soft material that makes the cushion comfortable to sit on, lean against or cuddle.

Because every sensory system is different, vibration may feel fantastic for one person and not suit another — which is why we always encourage families to follow the child’s individual sensory preferences.

WEIGHTED SENSORY LAP BLANKET

Safety: Always use under adult supervision. The individual Lap Blanket is recommended for ages 3+. Keep away from heat sources, fire and sharp objects, and do not puncture the blanket.

Care: Hand wash gently in cold or warm water. Lie flat to dry and turn regularly. Allow the blanket to dry completely before use. Do not tumble dry.

SSH’s existing product guidance notes that weighted products should be selected and used according to the individual child and recommends regular breaks between periods of use. Sensory Super Heroes

VIBRATION CUSHION + PLUSH COVER

Safety: The Vibration Cushion is intended for children aged 4+ with parental supervision, so we recommend the Sensory Duo for ages 4+.

The cushion is not waterproof and should not be used around or submerged in water.

The vibration mechanism makes a noise, which may not suit every child’s sensory preferences.

We do not recommend running the motor continuously for more than 15 minutes at a time to avoid overheating or motor burn-out.

Plush Cover Care: Machine wash on a cold cycle and line dry only.

Batteries: Requires 2 x D batteries, not included.
