Our Sensory Crash Bags are thoughtfully designed and assembled in Queensland by our family team, using a design originally developed with input from an Occupational Therapist.

What's Inside Your Crash Bag?

• Generous foam filling: A combination of hand-cut foam pieces in different shapes and densities, creating a soft yet supportive surface for movement, crashing and lounging.
• Durable inner bag: A grey cotton inner bag securely contains the foam filling.
• Removable plush cover: Soft, textured plush fabric that adds an extra layer of sensory comfort and can be removed for washing.
• Optional water protection layer: Fits between the inner bag and plush cover to provide additional protection against spills and moisture. Not 100% waterproof.

Regular Crash Bag

• Approximately 1.3m long × 1.3m wide × 0.5m high.
• A compact, square design that's great for smaller spaces, sensory corners and everyday movement activities.

Large Crash Bag

• Approximately 1.9m long × 1.3m wide × 0.5m high.
• A longer design offering extra room for full-body movement, stretching out, crashing and lounging.

Dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly depending on how the foam filling is distributed and compacted.

Our Sensory Crash Bags provide a soft, supportive space for children to explore movement, deep pressure and sensory input in ways that feel right for their bodies.

Caring for Your Crash Bag 💙

A little care goes a long way! Follow these simple tips to help keep your Crash Bag clean, comfortable and ready for everyday sensory adventures.

Plush Cover & Water Protection Layer

1. Remove for washing: Both the plush outer cover and optional water protection layer can be removed for cleaning.
2. Cold machine wash: Wash with similar colours on a cold cycle. Do not use bleach.
3. Dry with care: Line dry in the shade or use a cool, no-heat airing setting on your dryer. Do not tumble dry with heat, as this may damage the Velcro and the water protection layer's lining.
4. Avoid heat and chemicals: Do not iron or dry clean.

Crash Bag Interior & Foam Filling

1. Give it a good shake! Over time, the foam naturally settles and compresses. Regularly shaking and fluffing your Crash Bag helps redistribute the filling and maintain its shape.
2. Shape may vary: The size and shape of your Crash Bag may change slightly depending on how the foam is distributed and compacted.
3. Keep the foam dry: Protect the inner filling from spills and moisture. Our optional water protection layer provides added protection but is not 100% waterproof.
4. Air it out occasionally: Remove the plush cover and water protection layer and allow the inner Crash Bag to air thoroughly in a dry, well-ventilated space. A sunny day is a great opportunity!
5. Manage humidity: In humid environments, consider using a dehumidifier to help minimise moisture buildup and keep the foam dry.

Important Safety Information

Your child's safety is always our priority. Please follow these guidelines when using your Crash Bag.

1. Ages 3+ with adult supervision: Recommended for children aged 3 years and over. Adult supervision is required during use.
2. Keep away from heat: Position your Crash Bag at least 2 metres away from fireplaces, heaters and other heat sources.
3. Create a safe space: Keep the surrounding area clear of furniture, sharp edges and hard objects that could cause injury.
4. Check its position: Crash Bags may shift during active play. Regularly check their position and move them back to a safe location when needed.
5. Supervise safe use: Always supervise children and guide them to use the Crash Bag safely.
6. No somersaults or flips: Never allow somersaults, flips or headfirst landings onto the Crash Bag. These activities can cause serious spinal injury, paralysis or death.
7. Keep the inner bag closed: Never allow children to unzip, enter or climb inside the Crash Bag or its inner filling compartment.
8. Not a sleeping surface: The Crash Bag is not suitable as a sleeping surface for infants or children with poor body control.

A final reminder: Every child's movement and sensory needs are different. Stay nearby, supervise use and help create a safe space for them to explore.
