✨ The shortcut we use in our house to create calm and connection + tools to help you
Everyone loves a shortcut.
Especially when life feels relentless,
and your families' needs are taking centre stage.
If you have neurodivergent kids in your life,
regulating yourself is one of the most powerful and effective things you can do...
But it often feels soooo impossible to make time for you!....
(or even have the energy to think about it.)
In our house:
We’ve found a surprisingly simple way to do this.
It’s not a course. It’s not a program.
It’s not even a product. (Although we’ve got plenty of those too.)
It’s just this:
JOIN IN. ❤️😀
When they:
- Hang upside-down off the couch like a bat in a cave...
→ Join In. - Wiggle their legs up the wall while humming...
→ Join In. -
Jump on the bed with wild joy...
→ Join In. -
Need a cold crunchy carrot or icy drink.→ Give yourself one too.
- Roll up in a blanket like a burrito...
→ Join In. 🌯 - Lay flat on the floor or the grass, facedown like a pancake...
→ Join In.
It helps to subconsciously build trust and connection.
We remind our kids that they are doing the right thing by self-regulating,
that THEY ARE WORTHY of feeling regulated,
that YOU ARE WORTHY of feeling regulated.
that we are all perfectly imperfect just the way we are.
This creates a strong sense of safety. 🦁
And when life feels full-on or fast, sensory strategies are some of the quickest wins for you and your family.
Whether you:
💚 Want a tool that settles kids and carers alike...
🏡 Just crave a calmer atmosphere at home...
We’ve curated a small but mighty collection to support whole-family regulation:
- Crash Bags for big movement and big emotions
- Vibration Cushions that work for kids and adults
- Lap Blankets to ground and soothe at school or home
You’re invited and encouraged. 💛
With love,

P.S. You don’t have to do it all. You just need small, sensory-aligned support that helps your nervous system exhale. We’ve got you.
